#OrlandoUnited – Want To Help? Let Us Know

Message from Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer :

Thank you for offering to help as our city continues to recover from the Pulse tragedy.

I am so proud of our community and how we have come together to support each other during this difficult time. We have shown the world the strength of our city and how we are better together as one Orlando.

As a result of our connected and supportive community, the immediate needs of the victims and their families are being met. However, as we continue down the path to recovery, there will be long-term needs for all those impacted by this tragedy. I encourage our entire community to reach out to our local nonprofits and faith-based organizations that are providing services to those who need them most. These organizations will be able to identify the most effective way you can help whether it is through volunteering or donating goods and services.

In response to the community’s requests to financially support the recovery efforts, we have formed the OneOrlando Fund. There are several ways you can donate to the fund:

  • Checks made payable to the OneOrlando Fund and mailed to: OneOrlando, PO Box 4990, Orlando, FL 32802-4990
  • Text ORLANDO to 501501 to donate $10.

For more information regarding the OneOrlando Fund, please contact info@oneorlando.org.

I encourage everyone to support our local Downtown South businesses who have also been impacted by this tragedy.  These businesses have been diligent in providing assistance in any way possible to our first responders, visitors and families. Visit downtownsouthorlando.org for more information.

My hope is that Orlando will be remembered, not as the city where a horrible shooting took place, but as the city that showed others that love can conquer hate.  And, my hope is that Orlando’s tragedy is remembered as the event that led our country into a new era of embracing diversity, equality and fairness.

We are #OrlandoUnited.
